WFMU - The world's best radio station? Free-form but unlike many student-run stations the continuity of hosts creates a welcome focus. My favorite shows/hosts (though there's always a lot to discover) include "Incorrect Music," Irene Trudel, Ken, "Rhubarb Cake" and "Radio Thrift Shop"
WREK - great free-form with a week of archived shows; AIS readers might be most interested in "Destroy All Music," "Waves" (free jazz), "Continental Drift" and "Personality Crisis"
Friendly Persuasion - run by the folks at Cool & Strange Music magazine; wonderful show and they've set it up so that song titles display in RealPlayer so you can ID the weird stuff without having to cross-reference a playlist
Space Surfari / Moon Base Alpha
Mappings - contemporary classical and improvisation
Le Vide -
experimental, avant-garde and electro-acoustic; nice playlist and notes
