Heavy
Rotation
The Adventures In Sound stereo may have a range of 20 feet but that's
no reason to deprive the world of at least some knowledge of its activity.
Here's a smattering of recommended music (i.e. nothing I'm listening to
only because of an assignment) that's powering the ambience here.
Old, new, backwards, forwards, sideways, upside down.

Completely
unpsych psych from rock's most famous anything-for-a-buck prostitutes.
Hope there's plenty more.
-
Art Pepper Renascence (Galaxy)
Surely
he cut bad albums at some point; this isn't one of them.
-
The Charlatans The Charlatans (One Way)

Too bad there's no Newman
Sings Nilsson album.
-
Patti Smith Group Wave (Arista)
Somebody
must have pointed out that "Citizen Ship" and "Seven Ways of Going" are
among the mostly lovably ridiculous prog rock of all time. The first
four songs (originally Side A, I think) need no apologies.

-

-
Bis Social Dancing (Capitol)
best
song titles: "Am I Loud Enough?," "Eurodisco," "Making People Normal,"
"Young Alien Types"
-
Les Sinners Les Sinners (Disques Merite)
A
mystery band. I picked this up from a tent dealer on the boardwalk
in Quebec City; it has no dates other than "Annees '60" and no credits
or other information. The band seems to be Quebecois and performs
just about every style from the late 60s: fey harpsichord pop, bright
& cheery pop, a Beatles cover ("Penny Lane" en francais), a mild blues
stomper (in French as well to disturbing effect), hard psych and even a
free form freakout ("L.S.D. Ha! Ha!"). Some of it is quite convincing,
some sounds more like early Spinal Tap.
-
Hip Hop Forever, Mixed by Kenny Dope (BBE)
great
stuff that just slipped through the radar, or at least mine
-
Public Image Ltd. Second Edition (Warner
Brothers)
newly
acquired CD and this sounds just as strange now as it did back in the day
